Apply Inventory Counts

You can update inventory with quantities obtained during physical counts of a store room. The inventory count can be entered on the Count Inventory page. When you are ready to apply updated counts to the system, you can use this feature to create appropriate adjustments to your inventory.

1. Select Actions > Apply Counts to Inventory from the Main Menu.

   A window opens, prompting you to specify the stock rooms in which the counts should be applied.

2. Select the appropriate repair center from the Stock Rooms Available at Repair Center field.

   The field below this field updates to include all stock rooms at the selected repair center.

3. Click the stock room that you want to apply inventory counts to in the field on the left.

   Press and hold the CTRL button on your keyboard to select multiple values.

4. Click the Right Arrow button to move the stock room to the Stock Rooms Selected field.

5. Repeat as necessary.

6. Click Apply.

   Maintenance Connection creates inventory adjustments to correct on-hand inventory to the amounts indicated on the Count Inventory page. Additionally, the counts are cleared from the Count Inventory page. You will be notified when the update is complete.

7. Click Close.

   Inventory transactions are created for each adjustment. These transactions can be viewed on the Inventory Transactions: Adjustments. The transactions are labeled: Adjustment (Count).
